Hey there – do you like public speaking and want to use your skills to help those in need? If so, the Streetlaw Society is definitely something you would want to join!
We run a pro bono project at King's College London, helping local communities through delivering tailored workshops and presentations. We work closely with the Legal Clinic as well as the Dickson Poon School of Law. As our member, you will be provided the opportunity to participate in projects that aim to equip target audiences with legal knowledge. Volunteers work in groups to create presentations and are able to polish their public speaking skills in the process. These workshops will be aimed towards various groups in London, e.g. refugee centres, youth groups, and secondary schools/sixth-form colleges. Both law and non-law students are welcome – you're eligible as long as you enjoy research, teamwork, and want to join our Streetlaw family!
