KCL Law Council is the representative body of King's College London's Dickson Poon School of Law. Democratically elected by King's law students, our goal is to give law students as valuable and enjoyable time at King's College London as possible. We are responsible for tackling key student issues, promoting student welfare to the Law School and University, and hosting events and projects for the Law School's community.

The Law Council have accomplished some fantastic things over the past year! See below for further details.

  • We created an anonymous complaint form which has encouraged students to come forward with their concerns. This has promoted transparency and good governance within the Law School.
  • We held the Law School’s first-ever Town Hall where we invited students from all year groups to talk about their experiences so far, and to raise any concerns.
  • We paired around 120 students with peer mentors through the Law Families Project. This has contributed to a stronger sense of community and mentorship across the student body.
  • We held a free textbook giveaway in association with the DPSoL faculty.
  • We organised a Used Book Fair online in collaboration with the KCL Law Society.
