(Updated 8 Sep 2020)
Here at King's Jitsu, we practice a self-defence form of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu that's both traditional and practical. We rely on using our opponents' strength and balance which means your size and strength do not matter as much as in other sports.
King's Jitsu Club is part of the broader Jiu-Jitsu Foundation (TJJF) community, which is a group of over a hundred clubs in the UK. There are national competitions twice a year as well as regional events that will allow you to train with all of London's clubs. Gradings take place every 3 months for you to get a new shiny belt. Besides these events, there will of course be socials to look forward to and get to know your club mates!
Both students and non-students are welcome to join us. We're a sport that caters to all levels, so whether you're a beginner wanting to try something new or if you've already been practising some Jitsu, do come along and join us! Jiu-jitsu is a great way to keep fit, learn some practical self-defence and of course, to make friends!

Training location and timing: TBC
We usually train twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays in the evenings in 2h sessions, but this may vary due to the current circumstances. Do join our Facebook group or follow our Twitter for updates on training arrangements.
Note on the COVID-19 situation:
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are waiting to hear when we can get back on the mats and start training again. We will post updates should it be possible to arrange any outdoors training, or if we hear from KCLSU about activity rooms reopening. Social distancing guidelines and advice on safety will be provided by the TJJF who are following the situation very closely. In the meantime, stay safe, and if you can, find a patch of grass and practice some breakfalling.
Much love,
from your Kings Jitsu family
