GKT Hockey
Over September, GKT Hockey has taken on the challenge of cycling 3000 miles as a club as part of Cancer Research UK’s September 300 challenge. This was also a way to bring the club together in a time of uncertainty and not much hockey! I am so proud to say we absolutely smashed the challenge - with a day to go we have cycled a total of 3136.41 miles!!! Alongside that, we have surpassed our fundraising goal of £1000, and hope to go even further. As our first event of this academic year, and one of our biggest fundraisers in history, we couldn’t have asked for a better start from our members.
KCL Women's Football
As a team, we ran a socially-distant 5km relay and managed to raise a total of £1836 for Breast Cancer Now by having 20 of our team members each running a staggered 5km in their respective countries and in London. We also aimed to raise awareness for breast cancer awareness month this month (October).
