About the Campaign

Students from the Department of Political Economy at KCL have started a campaign to  foster community among and create more spaces that cater specifically to DPE students. 

The 'DPE: Room for Growth' campaign aims to address how there isn't a space for the Political Economy Department that meets the social and academic needs of their students. They aim to establish a common room that will serve both purposes and will be equipped with the necessary academic resources, study and communal areas. Their goal is to promote the academic and personal growth of DPE students by providing a space for study, collaboration and community building. 

Campaign Aims 

In order to accomplish this goal, the campaign calls on the University to:  

• Establish a dedicated DPE common room. 
• Ensure the room is equipped with necessary academic resources and study areas. 

Through this, DPE: Room for Growth aims to foster a strong sense of community and belonging among DPE students.
