Every year, our team of Full-Time Officers is elected by you to represent KCLSU, voice your concerns and bring improvements to the student experience. Here's your chance to get to know them! If you want to read more about their goals for this year, visit the manifestos page.
President: Baiyu Liu

''Hello everyone, I’m Baiyu Liu, a Computer Science student who began my journey at King’s in 2021 and now have the privilege of serving as your President and Chair of the Board of Trustees at KCLSU. Born in Beijing and raised in the UK, I’ve always enjoyed bringing different worlds together – whether that’s through my passion for literature and culture, my interest in game design, or simply exploring London’s pubs with friends. I believe student leadership is about service, and for me, it’s a real honour to give back to the community that has shaped me.
This year, my priorities as President are clear: expanding study spaces across our campuses, delivering digital graduation certificates, strengthening pathways into graduate employment, and improving the food choices available to students. I am also focused on ensuring that your feedback directly shapes your education through stronger student representation. My mission is to make sure that life at King’s is not only memorable and empowering while you are here, but also sets you up for success long after you graduate.''
Vice-President Activities & Development: Dulcie Wainwright-Pilton

What does the Vice President Activities & Development do?
''Hi everyone! I'm Dulcie, and I'm your Vice President of Activities & Development! Having been the President and VP of a sports society in the last two years, I am very familiar with the SU processes, the problems within them, and the difficulties that student leaders face. It is only with the SU’s full support that these leaders can help their groups reach their full potential. My ideas for the role shine a spotlight on student feedback, inclusivity and transparency within the SU, while finding new and important ways to support committee members.''
Vice-President Education (Arts & Sciences): Maryam Jamil

What does the Vice President Education (Arts & Sciences) do?
''I will advocate for the expansion of initiatives that support students in securing paid internships and placement opportunities across all faculties and courses as well as for expanding module options across all courses and faculties, ensuring students have access to a broader range of modules. I will work to enhance academic support for students by implementing a structured system that offers one-to-one guidance from older students in navigating assessments. This will ensure students receive the assistance they need from those most familiar with their course to build confidence and succeed in their studies.
I will also aim for improved and clearer marking guidelines and schemes, to improve academic transparency and provide students with a detailed understanding of what an assessment requires of them. By avoiding generic guidelines, students will also be incentivised to work closely with their marking schemes.''
Vice-President Education (Health): Hasnain Jafer

What does the Vice President Education (Health) do?
''I’ve run for Vice President of Education (Health), because I believe every student deserves a fair, inclusive, and empowering academic experience. My goals are centred on taking action, guiding progress, and ensuring that no student is left behind, because I know firsthand how gaps in communication, support, and transparency can leave students feeling overlooked. Let’s make King’s a place where everyone thrives.''
Vice-President Welfare & Community: Fatima Hire

What does a Welfare & Community Vice President do?
''Hi! I'm Fatima, your VP Welfare and Community. I'm a postgraduate law student, having just completed the MSc Law and Professional Practice programme. Books, cats and coffee are the biggest loves of my life, followed closely by travel. In my opinion, there is no better way to get to know a city than through its bookstores and cafes.
This year, I'm focusing on making sure everyone belongs at King's, whether that be through creating more study and informal learning spaces, postgraduate inclusion in affordable housing schemes or combating harassment on campus. I’m here to listen, advocate, and help create a more supportive and inclusive environment for all students.''
Vice-President Postgraduate: Sheeba Naaz

What does the Vice President for Postgraduate do?
''I am Sheeba Naaz, your Vice President Postgraduate for 2025-26 at King’s College London Students’ Union (KCLSU). I am originally from New Delhi, India, and I completed my Master’s in Terrorism, Security and Society with the Department of War Studies. This is my second year as a Sabbatical Officer, and I am truly excited to continue representing and advocating for the postgraduate community, both taught and research.
My work is guided by inclusivity, academic excellence, and the overall growth of students. As we step into the new term, I will be focusing on three main priorities: decolonising and diversifying curricula, creating a festival-friendly timetable, and ensuring students have a clear understanding of AI policies.''
