King's College London Students' Union (KCLSU) is a charity whose charitable purpose is to support and represent King's students. Though we receive much of our funding from the University, KCLSU remains independent to represent students to King's effectively.
We represent the student opinion to the University and make sure that student viewpoints are considered at the highest levels of decision making. To ensure we understand student needs, KCLSU is led by officers selected via an election. The candidates who put themselves forward must be current students, and only current students can vote in the elections.
Those elected will have a direct say on how the Students' Union functions and on what we influence the University. Officers will use their experience of being a student at King's to ensure that we're effectively representing students and improving the student experience.
Elected officers have managed to increase the amount of study space available in the University and protected Wednesday afternoons for getting involved in activities. King's comprises over 40,000 students, and everyone can influence and affect the outcome of student elections by getting involved and voting on the candidates they think will best represent their views.
