KNOW: A Campaign Against Domestic Violence

Woman sat on stairs.

You perhaps think that domestic violence is something that happens within older, more grown-up "married" couples, but it happens everywhere, a lot more than you can imagine, not only within married couples but in any relationship.

Your VP Education (Health), VP Postgraduate and QMSU VP Welfare (Rhiannon, Nafiza, and Shamima) are working collaboratively to launch a campaign to defeat Domestic Violence: KNOW.

We aim to make our universities a more supportive place for students who are victims and survivors of domestic violence, and stand against gendered-based domestic violence within students. We aim to participate in the 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence taking place from 25th November to 10th December.

We have a series of events going on starting from the 25th November for all King's and Queen Mary students (so if you have any friends at QM, it's time to join forces now). We will be holding a craftivism event from 26th to 28th November, a panel on 2nd December at QM, Film Screening on the 5th December, big action day and many many more events that we will be promoting across KCLSU channels.

This is a pledge from us to YOU to take take part, make noise and finally stand against domestic violence.
