Meet King's Alumna Farrah Storr, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE UK

Haven’t heard about Fama before? Fama is a new series of lectures, talks and panels focusing on the world of media brought to you by KCLSU Student Media in collaboration with media experts. So, whether you are determined to build a career in media or just interested in what life in press looks like, Fama Is your opportunity to feed your curiosity and have your questions answered by industry professionals.

This term’s first Fama Lecture has a real treat in store for you: the amazing Farrah Storr, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE UK and King's alumna, will be joining to talk about her journey in the world of magazine publishing.
And what a journey it has been!
Farrah was the Launch Editor of Women’s Health magazine which she helped become the most successful women’s magazine launch of the decade. Between July 2015 and August 2019 she was Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan which has grown to be the UK’s No.1 women’s glossy under her direction. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of ELLE magazine. In addition to these fantastic achievements, she has been awarded numerous times, including being named ‘New Editor of the Year’ in 2014 (British Society of Magazine Editors), and ‘Editor of the Year’ in 2018 and 2019 (PPA Awards, Men’s and Women’s category). To top it all off, Farrah was also named one of the 36 BAME people on the Guardian’s list of the 1,000 most influential people in Britain.
