Reasons Why FoDOCS Students Would Make Great Student Officers

elections

As you probably know, KCLSU Elections nominations have opened for the 2026-2027 school year. With the many changes and improvements coming to our university, this election year is more important than ever.

In particular, KCLSU is targeting students from FoDOCS and encouraging them to run for the Student Officer Trustee roles that are available. These are full-time, paid sabbatical Student Officer positions where students take a year out from their studies to work for KCLSU. Some positions include President, Vice President Education (Health), Vice President Welfare & Community, & many more! Nominations are open until 12pm on Monday 16 February.

We know that FoDOCS students remain highly engaged within and outside their Faculty. We see the immense work done by FoDOCS students in societies to host engaging, educational, and influential events for the student community. However, FoDOCS has produced zero KCLSU Officer Trustees in the past ten election cycles (2016-2025). KCLSU aims to represent the student population and student interests at King's, and we can't do that without the input of the diverse student population in the FoDOCS faculty.

KCLSU is here to provide FoDOCS students with tailored support to accommodate the intensive schedules and workloads of dentistry students. If you're an advocate, principled, and a visionary (which we know you are!), you would be perfect for the Full-Time Officer roles.
