What’s on around KCLSU: 1st-14th July edition

Pride parade in London with Rainbow balloons

The sun is out – so why aren’t you? Make the most of the heatwave by checking out one of these fun (and cheap) events happening around KCLSU campuses this week.

Strand/Bush House:

Set to be the biggest London Pride Parade yet, this year’s Pride marks the 50th anniversary of the modern LGBT+ movement. Celebrate with activists, campaigners and London’s LGBT+ community for a day of love, allyship and acceptance.

Enjoy a whole day of free, weekly TV and film marathons or unique art exhibitions every Thursday in The Studio at Bush House. No need to purchase a ticket, just pop in and enjoy on our cozy beanbags.

Want to catch a movie and enjoy the sunshine? King’s Cross will be hosting a free open-air film festival on the canal side steps on Granary Square. Expect screenings of cult classics from Dirty Dancing to Ghostbusters, on throughout the day, as well as showings of the Wimbledon matches. Check out the line-up and limited free tickets here.

Waterloo:

Join hundreds in London’s Hyde Park for a week of free outdoor movie nights, drag shows, live music, street food and more. We can’t think of anything better than an epic showcase line-up under the sun. See what’s on at BST here.

Guy’s:

Celebrate your academic achievements throughout the year over a burger with fellow postgrads at the Guy’s Colonnade next Wednesday. The evening will feature outdoor games, music and much more! Find out about the Fete here.

Denmark Hill:

Described as the city’s hottest wing festival and rooftop party, WingJam is a one-of-a-kind event you’ll only find in London! The three-day festival boasts over 20 chicken wing varieties, including vegan and veggie options! You can also count on hot wing challenges, £1 wings, DJ sets, cocktail bars, and unlimited hot sauce and a goodie bag with every entry ticket. Discover WingJam here.
