Recently, your KCLSU President, Baiyu Liu, worked with King’s Examinations and Assessment team and KCL’s Chinese Students' and Scholars’ Association to launch a project that would enable students to generate a digital version of their degree certificate through Gradintelligence (Gradintel), the official document issuing service used to provide students with certification of their results and achievements.
This has been long sought after by the student community, particularly Chinese International students, who are required to provide evidence of graduation when applying for jobs or sitting civil service exams. Traditionally, certificates are sent via post and can take a long time to be delivered to international students if they have already returned home.
What’s new?
Starting from Summer 2025, digital degree certificates will be available through Gradintelligence for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students with an award date of 1 July 2025 onwards. Digital certificates are expected to be viewable around 4 weeks from the date you receive a results email confirming your award. King's are working to provide digital certificates to alumni who graduated before 2025 later on in the academic year.
How can I access my digital certificate?
King’s have provided guidance on how to access your digital certificate via Gradintelligence – check out the Student Services article here https://self-service.kcl.ac.uk/article/KA-01230/en-us.
How can I get in contact with KCLSU Officers?
