The KCL United Nations Association sends twelve students to South Korea to attend the world's largest debating competition!

The Model UN, is a competitive simulation of the United Nations in which students take the roles of a specific country's diplomats, in order to push a certain resolution on a given global issue.

It's widely known to be the forum in which students can legitimately feel good about traveling to far-off places during mid-term, and enjoy a host of decadent parties with 2500 other like-minded students from all around the world.

Over the past week, KCL UNA sent twelve of its best and brightest to Harvard World MUN in South Korea, in which they had the chance to represent the Republic of France in committees like the UN Development Programme or the Security Council. 

Four students won the highest honor for their brilliant work earning a trophy gavel and a "Diplomacy Award":

Benjamin Cox (1st year/Brazilian & Portuguese Studies)
Ewa Gierszewska (1st year/English Law with German law)
Jackson Webster (2nd year/International Relations)
Yuji Develle (2nd year/War Studies)

This newest batch of awards adds to KCL UNA's recent winning streak, most notably exemplified by the eleven awards and "Best UK Delegation" trophy won at London International Model UN (LIMUN), the largest conference of its type in Europe.

The Association would like to let all people interested in joining the team know that it is holding an AGM in S3.30 on March 26th at 6:30pm, and is always open to new members provided they come to the training sessions (normally held on Tuesdays).
