Take part in Student Council Bye-Elections and Student Trustee Elections

Stand up and get involved.

Stand for Student Council Bye-Elections and Student Trustee Elections. Nominations close on Thursday 30 October at 10am.

Student Council Bye-Elections

In the Student Council Bye-Elections, not all positions currently have candidates. That means there’s a risk that your student community won’t have their voices heard or needs fought for.

If you are an Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, Postgraduate Research or Nursing & Midwifery student, you have the chance to stand for election and make sure your fellow students have the representation they need.

All other King’s College London Faculties have two representatives who sit on Student Council.  Not having enough representation means that students like you have less chance of seeing changes that could directly benefit them.

It’s the perfect chance to get involved, even if you have a busy schedule, because there are only five official meetings this year and they all happen after 6pm.  Check out the Election Guide for more information.

Student Trustee Elections
Are you interested in sitting on the Trustee Board of a democratic charity representing over 25,000 student members?

If you’re interested in being part of the highest level of decision-making at your Students’ Union stand for election in the Student Trustee Elections.

As a Student Trustee you’ll have the chance to scrutinise the performance of KCLSU and monitor its behaviour. You can help shape the strategic vision and future of KCLSU as an organisation.

Being a Student Trustee is an amazing opportunity, allowing you to gain skills and experience such as working in a team of senior, experience professionals. You’ll be problem-solving on a strategic and organisational level. This is the perfect chance to understand business and governance in a real context. Check out the Election Guide for more information.

Even if standing for election isn’t right for you, make sure you have your say in who represents you. Voting opens for both elections from 10am on Monday 3 Novembers to 5pm on Wednesday 5 November.
